Notes about things regarding scuba diving that I have come to know.
Pete's Southern Maine Regional Dive Site Guide
This site is only diveable at high tide and I don't think you even want to try to center a pair of dives. The entry area in particular is shallow and rocky and with a less than high tide becomes treacherous. Centered on high tide it is very negotiable for a dive.
We have made this dive as a triangle heading for the outer right corner of the cove, traversing the mouth and returning to the entry point. Plan to see depths a little deeper than 20 feet. Part of the trip out is apt to be a sandy rippled span. Watch for flounder, skate and sand eels. Once you get out to the ledges it's a nice exploratory roller coaster ride as you meander about. From there you do the third leg of the triangle back to the entry point.
This is not a grand site bit it is fairly sheltered and quite enjoyable. I always enjoy it. It would also be a very nice skin-dive site.
Here is a view of the parking area and walk to the site
This is the route we enjoyed.
